WE suppose you have had a satisfactory
Account of the late seasonable mercy
vouchsafed to us in the routing
of Middleton. He was followed, but
lost by Generall Monck, and at
length by a strange providence
found by Gel, Morgan, much beside
expectation either of the one party
or the other; for, the Colonel Marching from Ruthen
in Badgenoth towards Loughary and those parts, to visit
the Country did unawares light upon Middletons forces in
a narrow passage. where they could march but two or three
a brest. Whereupon the Colonel immediately fell upon
them, and so sharply encountred them, that they soon ran,
and betook themselves many waies to flight.
