From Edinburgh, Septemb. 15;
BY the last you were inform'd, that
the Lord Forrester and his Party
were capitulating with Gen. Monk;
the submission on his part is now
compleated, and therewith an end
set at present to any considerable
opposition. What is become of
Middleton we know not well, Col.
Morgan is returned from the North, where he had followed
him close, and at length left him sculking. It is conceived
that Major gen. Overton is to go thither in his room,
to keep all still and quiet in that uncouth corner.
The Lord Kenmore is now likewise reconciled, and others
with him. The Indulgence now held forth towards them
works kindly, and many of the Nobility and Gentry that
had been severely Fined by an Ordinance set forth by his
