This week severall Complaints have been
made to the keeper of the seals of France, and to
the Lieutenant Civill of this City, concerning
certain seditious preachers that roved up and
down the suburbs; whereupon order is given
for the apprehending of them.
In my late letters to you I certified you of a
great danger that besell the King, and lis
Mother, by the breaking of a Bridge as they
passed. The escape hath been represented here as
a wondrous miracle, and this last week they
made a Comedie or a Puppet play of it here in
the suburbs of Sr. Anthonie, to set forth the
Providence of God, and the happines of France,
in their happy escape of that danger. By such
wise contrivements as these the Common fort
are kept in dotage to their Prince.
We have news from the Court of Spaine at
Madrid, that the Queen being great with child
the Spaniards are in great hope it may prove a
Son, presuming an opertunity will thereby be
given to much the Lady-Insanta to our King,
and consequently to make up the two Crown,
which is now strongly and endeavouring. Our Kings
Picture hath been given in passant to secretary
Navarre who came lately out of Flanders; and
the Ambr. his Colleague residing in this Court,
