and indignation upon their Oppressors. And
that at Nismes they flew an Irish Captain because
the Duke of Savoy was served by them of the Irish
Nation in the execution of that enterprise upon
the Protestants.
On Wednesday last, all the Commissioners of
the grand Chastelet, received commandment from
the Lieutenant Civill, to seize all the Prints that
they could finde of the Pourtraiture of his Highness
the Lord Protector, and to enter such houses
as printed them, there to demolish and break
their work at the press; which course is taken by
reason of certain Verses set under the portraiture
reflecting upon the Pope and other princes. But
since that, the King hath ordered a free liberty to
sell the pourtraiture, provided the Verses be not
vended with it.

The Assembly of the Diet have sent 2. Commissioners,
members of their House, to know of
his Majesty the reason of his great preparations
of War, and his intentions therein; which having
done in a gallant Speech, they reported the same
to the House, who was very much satisfied therewith;
his Majesty has sent one to the Elector of
Brandenburgh to desire a free passage for his Army
through that part of Prussia which is his, calld the
Dutchie, which the Elector has granted, all our
Forces are marching to their several rendezvouz
and are long you will hear of some action.
