ordain preaching Ministers in the said respective Universities, according to
the form and directions of the said Ordinance of the Lords and Commons of
the 29 of August 1648.
And Be it further enacted, that the said Ordinance of the 29 of August, 1648
Intituled, The Form of Church-Government to be used in England and Ireland,
shall stand and be in force, and put in execution, And whereas in the said
Ordinance of Lords and Commons, bearing date the 29 day of August, 1648.
there was a clause inserted for the dividing of the several Counties of England
and Wales into distinct classical Presbyteries. Where they were not already
divided, which was not put in execution accordingly, by reasod whereof
that work remains yet undone, Be it therefore Enacted, that the several
Justices of the peace in the respective counties, cities, and places, within England
and Wales, or any five or more of them, of the several counties of England
and Wales, with the assistance of such Ministers and others as they
shall think fit, do forth with meet and consided how their several counties respectively
may be most conveniently divided into destinct classical presbyteries,
where they are not already divided; and what Ministers and others are fit to
be to or each claims,
The Reader is to observe, that these are not the whole, but only
the Principal Parts of the said Acts; which are to be had more at
large, with their severall Provisoes, printed by the Parliaments
Printers.
An Advertisement.
THere was stoln from Balthazer Bear of Aish, near Barnstaple, in the
County of Devon, the 13 of this instant March, in the night, was st[unr]ln
these things following. A fair Silver Tanckard, with a Coat of Arms
cut in the side thereof. A Salt with the same Coat, and two Trencher salts A
Candle cup, with another Coat. A Cup with two Ea[unr]s. A Beer Bonl Nine
Spoons marked with the Letters G. B. And another Spoon with the Letters
M. B. If any of these be offered to be sold, paund or Valued, pray stay them
and the party of parties, and give notice to Mr. Charls Goodwin at the R [unr]
Ludgate-Street, London, or to Mr. William Jolly, in Grays Inne lan[unr], [unr]
Birkhead, at Golden Anchor in Holborne, near Fetter lane; and he or [unr]
shall have Five pounds for their pains.
Whitehal, March 21.
Since the last a Declaration is come from Ireland, which being large, I shall
set down only the main of it, Omitting the preambular Part. The Title of it is.
A Declaration of the Lord Broghil, and the Officers of the Army of Ireland, in the
Province of Muster. After the preamble, it is thus continued.
We do therefore declare for a full and [unr] Parliament in England, consisting
not onely of those that sat on the 11 of October 1659. but also of all
such of the Members of Parliament, Imprisoned, excluded or withdrawn
in December 1648. as are yet living; whom we desire may be restored to the
freedom and liberty of their sitting and acting, according to the Trusts Committed
to them by the several counties and places, which did chuse them;
that so they may be no longer debarred from discharging their said Trusts;
and that vacant places may be speedily supplyed by free and due Elections
