of the Land Grave of Hesse: All things are very dear in Palatinate, nevertheless,
the people repaire thither in pretty numbers from severall parts, and fall to Tilling
and Husbandring the grounds. The Horsmen lending them horses, at the rate of 15 d.
a day. The Emperour intends as soone as the meeting at Nurenburgh shall be
ended, and the forces disbanded to summon an Imperiall dyet at Frankford, and there to solemnize
his Crownation together with the Empresse. Passengers relate, that in the Bishotrick
of Munster and thereabouts, there lye abundance of Souldiers, who give out that they are to
be entertained in English Service, but whence the mony shall be had none can tell or imagine.

Ordered by the Commons assembled in Parl. That the Generalls Letter touching Sir Edward
Syddenham, Sir William Fleetwood, Mr. John Carey, Mr. Adrean May, and
Mr. William Styddolf, the late Kings menuall Servants, be referred to the Committee to
whom the bill touching Articles is referred to take the same into consideration, and to report
their opinions therein to this House forthwith.
And that they suffer no prejudice for not attending the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall
touching their Composition in the meane time.

The Lord Gen. Letter was to advertize the house that they came out of Oxford to
him before the Articles were agreed upon his Excellencies promise to mediate for
them.
An ACT of the Parliament of Rheems.
The Court, the great Chamber, and the Tournelle assembled, doing right upon the Condition
of the Kings Atturney Gen. hath ordered that according to the Act of the Councel
of Decemb. 12. 1648. the English man Greene, and the men of his Company detained in
the Conciergerie of the Conet, in the new Castle of St. Mallo, shall be delivered unto Gilbert
le Roux, Lieut. in the Prevost of the Kings Houshold, to be by him conducted to the
Fort L. Huesque, the said Greene, and the men of his Company, paying first the charges of
justice, and their expences in the severall places where they have been detained: doth forbid
the said Le Roux, to make any function of Justice in this Province, under pain of nullity, cashiring
of the proceedings, and to be proceeded against him extraordinary.
Given in the Parliament of Rhems the 5. of May 1649.
The House of Commons voted Capt. Zachery Bishop, to the Provost-Marshall for
London, subberbs and all parts of the North side of Thames, within the late line, for
apprehending dangerous persons. And Captain Munke to be Provost Marshall for
Southwark side.
An Act was brought in for relief, and indempnifying of all such persons as have been,
or shall be sued, molested, or damnifyed, contrary to Articles, they having done nothing
in breach thereof: It was read the first and second time, and referred to a Committee.
It was also ordered, that a list of names should be brought in for Commissioners for
the giving of Relief by the Authority of the said Act.
The House of Commons ordered an amendment in the Declaration concerning Dr.
Dorislow, in some words that were misprinted, only as to matter of sence.
The House also voted that Commissary Gen. Ireton, Mr. Thomas Chaloner, Mr. James
Chaloner, Mr. Miles Corbet, Mr. John Corbet, Mr. Leechmore, Col. Martin, &c. or any
