JErsey is now for prince Charles, as Man for the
Earl of Derby. It is an Hebrew word, and part
of a Prophesie, twice exprest in one place of
Scripture.

Which may be thus Englished.
And Edom shall Jeresah, And Jeresah shall
be Seir of his Enemies. Numbers 24. 18. And
see what followes. And Israel growes strong(un)
[Foreign] in that very time is growing strong
or rich strength.
Prince Charles gave out Warrants to his ships
at Jersey; to fetch in all Merchants they could light on, and kill, slay, and sink, where
they have some opposition.
Mr. Speaker this day presented to the Parliament, a letter which was read, sent
from Mr. Strickland the Resident (for the Parliament of England) now in Holland,
expressing the good affections of the provincial Estates of Holland, to the Parliament
and Common-wealth of England; And that they will heare and give audience
