Another Act of the Commons of England in Parliament assembled, for the further
Relief of maimed Souldiers, and the Widdowes and Orphans of Souldiers slain
in the service of the Parliament for 130 l. per Week, out of the Excise also passed.
The House of Commons also ordered, to referr it to the Committee for Hospitalls
to consider how II col. formerly ordered for payment of severall Debts about
lame Souldiers may be raised.
The house had some debates about the taking off of the 4s. Upon the Chaldron
for Coles, but in regard that it hath related to the supply of the Garisons Newcastle
&c. it was thought sit to be considered of, after the reports were made from the
Councel of State concerning the setling of Garisons, which is ordered to be brought
in on Fryday.
Letters were read from some in Hampshire complaining of Free-quarter, C. Stubberds
Regiment going for Ireland, and Col. Tomkins Regiment quartering thereabouts.
It was left to the Generall and Officers of the Army.
A Petition was read from the Needle-makers and Steele-wyer-drawers, The house
referred it to the former Committee, about the Act for New-England, (only some
more Members added) to examine, and report to the House what is sit to be done,
whereby the Petitioners may be releived.
The House of Commons (upon severall petitions) Ordered diverse pardons in
course to be granted to severall persons condemned at the Goale deliveries in the
respective Circuits of England (upon Certificates from the Judges &c.) And the
Commis. of the Great Seale to passe their Pardons under the Great Seale of England.
As for the Midland Circuite, for Wil. Asherast, Tho. Mayo, Marg. Williams, Reb.
Kendall, John Young, Tho. Sherwood, and Tho. Worstley, for other places, Mar. Grant,
Mary Gresby, Mary Howell, Su. Beck, Tho. Roe, Jo. Walker, James Gleaven, Sam. Daubney,
and others. The house ordered, to referr it to the Commis. Of the Navy, to hear
and determine the case of the three vessels about Mr. Vaughans busines, and it was
Ordered that Dr. Walker, (mentioned iu the order the day before) should be spared
from being Judge of the Delegates. Some Members (for their health) had leave
to go into the Country for a time.

YOurs of the 19. from London I received, hasten supplies now Ormond hath besieged Talborstone
and Castle Sallogh, the one 22 the other 19 miles from Dublin, Its bruited he will
be presently for this place. Col. Jones the Governor is drawing together (the Garisons being secured)
all the horse and foot he can make, and intends to view the enemy and observe their morton,
It will be of dangerous consequence for the Parl. interest if succor come not suddenly hether, it is
said the British forces in Vlster have had a meeting this last week, what is intended we know not,
but the Irish give out they will all joyn with Ormond, Col. Sanderson that commanded for the
Parl in Sligo, is said to have given up the place to George Monro and Stuart who have undertaken
the siege of London Der ey, but I hope the Corne is arrived there before now. Capt. Oliphant
who would have perswaded his men to go to the Rebels is hanged, Chambers Sir Par,
Weeyms Leiut. is gone to the Irish with his Troop, before this last supply of 1438 quart rs of
Corne came in, the Governour caused the Cityy to be searched, and there was sound in it but [Unr]
daies provision, this corne sent them by the State as a boue well husbanded, will
serve but 3 moneths, yet it is given out here that we have six months provision, Cap.
Pakenhams men have betrayed him. and Castle-carby to the enemy, some mony
would much encourage our men, the want whereof canseth grumbling. Lieuten.
