PARLIAMENT.

the Lord Fairfax.

Beginning Munday April 30
THis day the House again spent the whole time about
perfecting the Act for sale of Dean and Chapters
Lands. Severall provisos were offered to be added
to this Act, whereof these passed: A proviso for giving
power to such purchasers as have right to Representations
by the purchase to present Ministers during
the pleasure of the Parliament. A proviso concerning
moneys transmi ted upon the Ordinance in the
body of it, not to be payd untill it be examined how
it came due (and a Committee was chosen to examin
the same. A proviso for allowing houses to two
Ministers, M. Marshall and M. Nye, who officiate every Lords day at the Abby Westminster.
Severall other provisos offered for th advance of moneys to particular persons,
as formerly ordered by the house, but rejected. The house wenothorough, and fully
finish[unr]d the Ordinance this day and ordered the same to be printed.
An Act passed the house giving power to Robert Titchh[unr]e, Marks Hillestey Daniel
Taylor, and Edward Parks, Commissioners of the Customs, or any one or the Deputy
or Deputies, to administer such Oath or Oaths as are now in force, to Masters of
ships or other Persons concerned therein, upon passing their entries, and merchants
or other persons passing Certificates: And in other emergencies and Customs
causes wherein Oaths have been usually given: Any law, Statute, or usage to the contrary
in any wise notwithstanding.
