Beginning Munday July 9
THis day Lieut. Generall Cromwell [unr]
of Ireland intending to advance on [unr] towards
Ireland, presented his further requests to the
House on the behalfe, and fox the reliefe of severall
persons, whole Petitions and businesses had lane
long in his hands, upon which the house made severall
orders: As more [unr] for the continuance
of the weekly Pensions to severall Irish Ladies
and Gentlewomen of that Nation [unr] are in great
want, to some three pounds per week, to some 40 s.
and to some lesse, They give 200 l: a Peece to Sir
Edward Lostus, and Sir Edward Bows, The businesse concerning Colonell Thornetons
wife. to be reported Thursday next. And it was referred to a Committee to consider
of the Obstructions of Retaining her money upon the former under. Colonel
Shambrook. Col. Cowell and Captain Spooner, their accompts ordered to be audited,
and two thirds of their arrears to be paid; the other third, they are to have
the benefit of doubling upon purchasing Dean and Chapters Lands. A Petition of
Sir George Ascne. Vice-Admirall upon the Irish Seas, read and referred to a Committee
to answer the requests of the Petition, The desires of Mr. Prince (one of
the four close prisoners in the Tower) desiring the payment of 900 li. due to him,
for victuall sent for Ireland debated. The house referred it to the Committee of
the Army, to consider of satisfaction to be given to Mr. Prince for the said [unr],
Mr. Knight (the Lord Generals Chaplaine) ordered to have the benefit of doubling
