THE Enemy continues still in the
North, Middleton drawing into Sutherland;
somwhat he must attempt
with speed, because the Hills will
not yeild sufficient to feed him and
his Forces; but how he will get
Southward is a question, having a great River
on this side of him, and all other Passes so well
guarded by our Forces.
They have lately had some quarrels amongst;
Themselves about, precedency and Command,
which have somewhat retarded their Levies, and
disjointed them among Themselves so that some
are retired through discontent. If so be we could
hear of a confirmation of the Dutch peace, I
