SOme persons deputed from the Lord
Lorne are now come to Glasgowe to
treat for his coming in, Midleton
(with all his Endeavours) gets few
men to joyne with him yet he stayes
in the hills doing what he can; surely
the disappointment of the malignant
designes in England will make them
pispaire of doing any thing here. And its conceived he will
endeavour to get away beyond seas.

This Post from England filld us with admiration, and
thunder strook the expectants on this side of the water with
a parcel of News that they looked not for. It is said in these
Parts, and generally beleeved, that Charls Stuart was in
England. If so, it is probable you may have met with him. It
is talked by divers who understand the Transactions of men
